Expo 20.0.0 is out!
Expo 20.0.0, based off of React Native 0.47 is available! This is an awesome release with a bunch of new features from the Expo team! ๐๐ป Full release notes are available here. Some highlights:
- Faster startup on Android and pushing checking for updates to the background
- Improved loading screen including feedback that offers more information to developers
- JavascriptCore rollback on Android because of bugs on older devices
- New Camera and Payments APIs ๐
- New experimental SplashScreen API
- New FileSystem.DownloadResumable API which allows progress updates, pause, and resume
- Plenty of bug fixes ๐
